Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this evening strongly condemned Pakistan for its reaction to the execution of war criminal Quader Mollah.

“By passing the resolution at national assembly, Pakistan has proved that it never accepted the victory of Bangladesh in the Liberation War of 1971, and they still have allies in Bangladesh,” the premier said.

She said this at a meeting of Awami League-led 14-party grand alliance at Gono Bhaban, the premier’s official residence.

Since execution of Mollah on December 13, Pakistan drew huge criticism and condemnation from people of Bangladesh for its reaction over hanging of the Jamaat leader Mollah.

As per of its reaction, the Pakistan National Assembly Monday adopted a resolution expressing concern over the execution of Mollah who, it said, was “hanged for supporting Pakistan in 1971″.

Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told the Assembly that Mollah was hanged “through a judicial murder”.

Yesterday, Dhaka summoned the Pakistan High Commissioner in Afrasiab Mehdi Hashmi Qureshi and strongly protested Islamabad’s reaction, terming it interference in the domestic affairs of Bangladesh.
