Oikyafront to have an impact, says Muhith
‘Jatiya Oikyafront will make an impact on the country’s politics as opposition party BNP is with it’
Even then the Awami League will win the next general election
Mentioning that Jatiya Oikyafront will leave an impact on the country’s politics due to its partnership with BNP, Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Thursday said, even then Awami League will win the next general election.
“Jatiya Oikyafront will make an impact on the country’s politics as opposition party BNP is with it. However, Awami League will win the election as the other components of the new alliance have already been proved ineffective to the people,” he said.
Muhith was talking to reporters in front of Sylhet Circuit House after laying the foundation stone for work on a retaining wall and walkway along the Surma River, reports UNB.
He described as ‘hypocrisy’ the remarks of several Oikyafront leaders that they will build Bangladesh as dreamt of by Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, although they are in alliance with BNP.
