Nur Hossain’s gun found

Police officials said the damaged car is owned by Hossain’s brother-in-law Nure Alam.

Government Railway Police’s Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Md Qamrul Ahsan on Saturday confirmed to bdnews24.com.

“Narayanganj police confirmed that it belonged to Nur Hossain after we sent the gun’s number to them.”

Narayanganj police’s Additional Superintendent of Police Sazzadur Rahman told bdnews24.com that Nur Hossain had two firearms licensed in his name – a pistol and a .22 bore rifle.”

“The licenses of both guns have been cancelled. But we were unable to find them.”

“Nur Hossain’s pistol number matched the number railway police sent us,” Rahman said.

Siddhirganj Police Station OC Alauddin said licenses of 11 firearms which belonged to Hossain and his associates had been cancelled. But two of those guns were yet to be found and seized.

The gun’s seizure by railway police Friday means one of the missing ones had been found, he said.
