Awami League Advisory Council Member Suranjit Sengupta has said Khaleda Zia has to seek forgiveness to the people for the attack on minorities.

The senior AL leader made the statement while addressing a discussion at Diploma Engineers Institution on Friday afternoon.

He commented that Khaleda has now become a great democratic person.

“She [Khaleda] is terming the government ‘illegal.’ On the other hand, she wants an election through dialogue under this government.

According to Khaleda’s speech, if the government is illegal the dialogue under the government would also be illegal.”

Pointing to the foreign diplomats, Suranjit said: “All of them have grasped the junior foreign state minister and urged for fresh elections by June.

Election will be held on June. However, the matter is whether the election will be held on June, 2014 or June 2021.”
