Rizvi Ahmed Ceaser (36) is son of Mohammed Ullah Mamun of Fairfield, Connecticut, Vice President of pro-BNP organization JASAS.
Rizvi’s co-conspirator Johannes Thaler (51) has also been sentenced to 30 months in March 4, 2015 on a Conspiracy case to bribe a US FBI agent to unearth critical information on Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, with a view to kidnap him and his family members, spread negative stories against him and to realize other evil objectives.
In pleading guilty, Rizvi Ahmed Cesear and Thaler admitted that between September 2011 and March 2012, Thaler and Robert Lustyik, a former FBI Special Agent, solicited bribes from Rizvi Ahmed, in exchange for Lustyik’s agreement to provide internal, confidential documents and other confidential information to which Lustyik had access by virtue of his position as an FBI Special Agent.
Rizvi also confessed that he was advised by BNP High Command only to collect information on Joy and for that, he would get half a million US dollar.
He convinced two of his American co-conspirators to pay them $40,000 upfront and $30,000 per month if they can accomplish their job.
Rizvi also wanted them to erase all criminal records on Arafat Koko and Tariq Zia from US FBI or intelligence records.
It is also reported that He was present with his family March 4 at the Court and he got bail till April 20. His imprisonment will start from April 20, 2015.
The other culprit, veteran US Counter-terrorism special agent Robert Lustyik (52), will be sentenced soon. They all confessed to their crimes committed.
A reliable source said that Joy had no idea about this conspiracy against him, and he did not initiate any case against the conspirators.
Once they were under custody and confessed their guilt, Joy was informed.
According to a release issued by Department of Justice Office of Public Affairs, this case was investigated by the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General and is being prosecuted by Trial Attorney Emily Rae Woods of the Justice Department’s Public Integrity Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin Allee of the White Plains Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York
