Hasan got crazy losing cabinet post: Hannan Shah

Taking a dig at ruling party leader Hasan Mahmud for his remark that BNP might have a link with Israeli attack on Palestine, BNP senior leader ASM Hannan Shah on Tuesday said he has turned out to be the craziest man losing his cabinet post.

“Hasan Mahmud has got crazy after being excluded from the Cabinet. He is now making unguarded remarks …there’s no crazier man than him,” he said.

The BNP leader was addressing a human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club arranged by the National Committee for Resisting Aggression, protesting Israeli attacks and aggression on Palestine people.

Addressing a discussion at the Public Library, Hasan Mahmud, Awami League Publicity and Publications secretary, said BNP might have a link with the attacks on Palestinians by Israel.

Hannan Shah strongly protested and condemned such an ‘imprudent’ comment by Mahmud, also a former minister.

He questioned as to why the government is not raising its voice against Israeli attacks on Palestine. “The people of Bangladesh and global community are vocal against this mass killing. But we can’t understand why our government is silent.”

Hannan Shah alleged that the government also did not take any step to send food and medicine to Palestine.

“India has very friendly ties with Israel and it bought arms from Israel. The current Awami League government is not raising its voice against Israeli aggression as it is a pro-Indian regime,” the BNP leader observed.

He said Israel is carrying out mindless mass killing in Palestine with financial support and patronage of western countries.

Hannan Shah said the attacks and killings in Palestine can be stopped if only the United Nations take proper steps.
