Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad has visited his party office at Dhaka’s Kakrail after nearly one and a half month.
He stayed there for about an hour on Wednesday.
“Sir (Ershad) came to the party office around noon,” Jatiya Party’s central committee publications secretary Zahid Hossain Biplob said. “He inquired about the ongoing repair work at the office.”

The last time the former military dictator had gone his party office was on Dec 3.
Ershad, who had announced a boycott of the polls, was elected an MP from Rangpur-3 constituency in the recently concluded general elections.
His party has emerged as the Opposition in the 10th Parliament, thanks to the poll boycott by the BNP and its allies.
The new Sheikh Hasina-led Cabinet has three members from the Jatiya Party. The party has also demanded the post of Deputy Speaker in Parliament.
Ershad was taken to the Combined Military Hospital on Dec 12 under RAB’s supervision.
Although a faction of his party claimed he had been incarcerated, the government said the former President was undergoing treatment.
The Jatiya Party chief was made the Prime Minister’s special envoy, a post he is not ‘unhappy’ with, according to his party.
Ershad had returned home on Sunday after taking oath at Bangabhaban.
