Covid-19 claims 25 more, infects 1,441 in Bangladesh

The health authorities of Bangladesh confirmed 25 more Covid-19 deaths and 1,441 new infections in the past 24 hours until 8:00am Monday.

The daily positivity rate in the reporting period stood at 8.15 per cent after testing 17,683 samples across Bangladesh.

Covid-19 had so far claimed 12,401 lives and infected 790,581 people ever since the viral disease emerged in Bangladesh on March 8, 2020.

Of the newly deceased, 21 were men and four were women.

Twenty of them died in government hospitals while three in private hospitals and two at home, said the government health update.
