BNP leaders Abdul Latif Samrat, Delwar Hossain, and Mostafa Kamal Pasha Babul, among others, spoke at the gathering.
They said they were planning to demonstrate also outside a hotel where Hasina is scheduled to attend a reception by expatriates later in the day.
