BNP blames lack of good governance for foreigner murders

The governments’ lack of good governance is to be blamed for the recent murders of the two foreign nationalities, a BNP spokesperson said today.

Asaduzzaman Ripon came up with the comment at a press conference hours after Kunio Hoshi, a Japanese national, was shot dead in Kaunia upazila of Rangpur in the this morning.

On September 28, an Italian aid worker Cesare Tavella was gunned down in Gulshan of Dhaka.

Condemning the firing incident that left a 10-year-oldboy injured yesterday, Ripon demanded the immediate arrest of the shooter, Manzurul Islam Liton, an Awami League lawmaker from Gaibandha-1 constituency.

“As the parliament was formed through falsified election, MPs have no accountability for their illegal activities”, Ripon said at the party’s Nayapaltan central office.

Sourav Mia of Gopalcharan village was shot allegedly by the AL lawmaker at Sundarganj of Gaibandha for apparently no reason. They boy sustained two bullet wounds in both his legs and is undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH). The MP, however, denied the allegation.
