The trainer of the Cessna D-152 plane of Bangladesh Flying Academy (BFA) has died one month after the aircraft crashed in Rajshahi, killing the trainee pilot.
The trainer, retired Lt. Col Sayeed Kamal, died on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore.
“We are bringing the body back after going through usual formalities,” BFA Chief Ground Instructor Atiur Rahman said Wednesday.
His Namaaz-e-Zanaza would be held on Thursday noon after the body arrives, he said.
On Apr 1, a Cessna D-152 training aircraft crashed on the runway of Rajshahi’s Shah Makhdum Airport killing the trainee, Tamanna Rahman, 22, and critically injuring Kamal.
BFA holds all theoretical lessons in Dhaka but the flying lessons are held in the Shah Makhdum Airport in Rajshahi.
