At least 10 have been injured after police opened fire during an eviction drive at Banani Super Market.
Businessmen alleged that a Dhaka North City Corporation executive magistrate started the drive around 11am on Thursday without any prior notice.
DMP Gulshan Division Assistant Commissioner Nurul Alam confirmed to bdnews24.com that the police firing had taken place.
“Police opened fire at the magistrate’s order. At least 8/10 have been injured. They are being treated in various local hospitals.”
