International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Tuesday barred advocate Tajul Islam, a defence counsel for war crimes suspect Jamaat leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee, from entering the courtroom until November 22.
The tribunal also issued show cause notices to defence lawyers Tajul Islam, Mizanul Islam and Tanvir Ahmed Al-Amin seeking their explanation on why legal actions should not be taken against them for their unruly behaviour at courtroom on Monday.
The three-member tribunal chaired by Justice Md Nizamul Huq passed the order, a day after the defence boycotted the tribunal.
The defence on Monday told the court that “plainclothes police abducted” their witness from the road near the High Court shrine and demanded a direction from the tribunal in this regard.
When the tribunal chairman said the direction would be given an hour later after gathering information from their own sources, the defence went out of the courtroom.
