An amount of Tk 3 lakh to Tk 20 lakh is usually exchanged during the appointment of lecturer in the country’s public universities, a diagnostic study of Transparency International canadianpharmacy-norxdrugs Bangladesh has revealed. And, allegations against vice-chancellors, leaders of teachers, officials and employees of registrar offices, experts, student leaders, ruling party leaders, and a quarter of people’s representatives are found over involvement in exchanging the amount, the study has said. The study on ‘Recruitment of lecturers in public universities: Governance, challenges and ways forward’ was unveiled before the media at Dhanmondi in the city on Sunday.
