PM visits ailing Shakib at Apollo Hospitals in city

 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday morning visited the Apollo Hospitals in the capital to see ailing national cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, who has been suffering from dengue fever.

 

PM’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad told newsmen that Sheikh Hasina stayed at the hospital for some time and enquired about Shakib’s health from the attending doctors.

 

Local MP AKM Rahmat Ullah, PM’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad and APS Saifuzzaman Shikhor were, among others, present.

 

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was admitted to the Hospital on Monday with high fever and he had to miss ongoing SAHARA Cup ODI series against New Zealand.

 

A subsequent blood test confirmed the presence of dengue virus.
