Kamal HossainCriticising the government for what he said not taking action against those who siphoned off money, Jatiya Oikya Front convener Kamal Hossain on Monday alleged that the country’s real development is not possible if money laundering is not stopped.

“Huge money is being siphoned off abroad from Bangladesh. It can’t be called development when money is being laundered in the name of development,” he said.
Speaking at an Iftar party, Kamal, also the president of Gano Forum, further said, “The country’s real development won’t be possible if the siphoning off money is not stopped.”
Dhaka south city unit Gano Forum arranged the programme at its Arambagh central office.
Kamal said the government cannot take any action against those involved in money laundering since they have connections with ruling party men.
Terming the money launderers as the country’s enemies, he urged people to get united to resist them.
The Gano Forum president alleged that though the government used to talk about the country’s development, farmers are not getting fair prices of paddy while the RMG workers are being deprived of their due wages.
He strongly condemned Sunday’s attack on DUCSU vice-president Nurul Haque Nur in Bogura, and urged law enforcers to take action against the attackers.
