The only working day before Eid-ul-Fitr, July 4 was declared as a general holiday on Wednesday.
With July 4 (Monday) as a public holiday now after the Shab-e-Qadr holiday the previous day, offices will be remained from Jul 1 to 9.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave the order under her executive powers, a public administration ministry official said and added that the process to issue a circular was underway.
The working day of July 4 has been made a holiday and instead July 16, a Saturday, will be a working day.
The Eid-ul-Fitr will be held on either July 6 or 7 depending on sighting of the moon.
