Banani overpass opens to public

The 805-metre Banani overpass in the capital was opened for traffic movement on Thursday.

The overpass will greatly facilitate free flow of traffic over the Banani rail crossing which earlier caused huge tailbacks on the Airport Road, with 72 trains passing through every day.

The overpass will help commuters avoid waiting at the rail-crossing.

An estimated 30,000 motorists are expected to use the flyover every day.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the overpass around 10:45am.

The Tk 120 crore project was implemented under the Mirpur-Airport flyover plan which is expected to be completed in June next year.

  1. Congratulations!!!!!

Freeway built by Bangali engineers, Bangali contractors and, of course, don’t forget the Prime Minister, Ministers. MPs, and definitely the Joint Secretary, Under Secretary, Over Secretary, Middle Secretary and the Home Office.

GUARANTEED TO LAST AT LEAST 5 YEARS BEFORE CRACKS AND OTHER ISSUES START TO SURFACE.

kalurghat Bridge in Chittagong built by the British in 1930’s still carry trains, cars and pedestrians on a daily basis.

    STUPID, CORRUPT BANGALI.
