Railways minister Nurul Islam Sujan. UNB File PhotoThe Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a report to railways minister Nurul Islam Sujan on Tuesday identifying 10 sources of corruption in the sector.

ACC chairman Mozammel Haque Khan handed over the report to the minister at his office, reports news agency UNB.

Khan said the report, prepared by the ACC institutional team, also made 15 recommendations. The report, however, does not contain the opinion of an expert.

The ACC chairman said that the anti-graft body has been working tirelessly to curb corruption focusing on the prime minister’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy.

In 2017, the ACC formed 25 separate institutional teams for as many establishments to identify sources of corruption and prevent it.

It has so far filed 12 reports to concerned ministries. The report on railways is its 13th.
