50 injured in Pabna AL factional clash

About 50 people were injured, four with bullets, in a clash between two rival groups of Awami League at Dwipchar in Sadar upazila on Friday.

Abul Kalam Azad, Jubo League joint convenor of Sadar upazila unit, was among injured in the clash that took place around 11:30am.

Locals said supporters of Azizur Rahman Tinku, Liberation War Affairs secretary of district AL, and Tayeb Sarder, Sadar upazila AL member, locked into the clash in a sequel to conflict over the construction of a local road.

On information, members of Rrab and police rushed in and brought the situation under control.

Ten of the injured, including Azad, were admitted to Pabna Medical College Hospital.

Of them, Azad was later shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated
