World leaders mourn Savar deaths

World leaders have mourned the loss of lives in Wednesday’s Savar building collapse.

A media release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday said Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, European Commission President José Manuel Durão Barroso and Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se expressed their deepest condolence issuing separate messages.

It added that the European Commission expressed its ‘readiness to assist’ Bangladesh particularly in the effort ‘to reinforce safety standards in commercial buildings.’

Rescuers so far retrieved nearly 400 bodies from the nine-story collapsed building. More than 1000 were injured while many more still remained missing in the worst building collapse incident in country’s history.

RAB nabbed the building owner, Mohammad Sohel Rana, a local leader of ruling Awami League’s youth front, Juba League, on Sunday.

  1. ONCE AGAIN BANGLA JUDGE REFUSED TO PASS A POLITICAL VERDICT SAYING, ”HE WAS EMBARRASSED”

It is a naked and vivid manifestation of this thoroughly corrupt, terrorist governments politicisation and shameful partynization &,therefore, the destruction of Bangla judiciary. What wonder Bangladeshi “JONOGON” no longer have any trust in this rotten institution, being used as a political tool by the thugs/terrorists, ruling the country to terrorise the “JONOGON” and smash all political opponents. And quite rightly, the International community too has passed no confidence in its politically motivated Kangaroo court that has been named “INTERNATIONAL” WAR CRIMES TRIBUNAL to dupe & mislead the people. This government’s ministers MUST all be tried for this most heinous crime to free the judiciary from their political grip. Without the restoration of judiciary, peace, progress, democracy, people’s rights cannot be established.
