Visiting West Indies beat Bangladesh by 77 runs in the first Test of two match Test series at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.

Bangladesh were all out at 167 as they were chasing the target of 245 in the last day of the match.

WI pacer Tino Best took five wickets in the innings while debutant spinner Veerasammy Permaul took three and Ravi Rampaul took two.

Mahmudullah scored highest 29 runs off 83 balls with two boundaries and a six in Bangladesh’s second innings.

WI batsman Kieran Powell was adjudged man of the match for his century knocks in both innings of the match.

The second Test match will start from November 21 at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.
