Asked to bat first, Shaheed Jewel XI posted 172 for the loss of three wickets in their 20 overs, player of the match Hannan Sarkar top-scoring for his side with a 39-ball 82feated Shaheed Mushtaque XI by 46 runs in the Victory Day Exhibition Match 2017 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Saturday.

Asked to bat first, Shaheed Jewel XI posted 172 for the loss of three wickets in their 20 overs, player of the match Hannan Sarkar top-scoring for his side with a 39-ball 82, featuring 10 fours and three sixes.

He received valuable support from opener Javed Omar, who remained unbeaten on 71 off 62 deliveries, including half a dozen boundaries and an over boundary.

Together, Javed and Hannan put on 148 for the third wicket.

Shaheed Mushtaque XI’s Hasibul Hossain, Saiful Islam and Jamal Uddin picked up one wicket apiece.

In reply, Shaheed Mushtaque XI were restricted to 126 losing eight wickets in their 20 overs, captain Akram Khan scoring the highest 29-ball 34 for his side.

Shaheed Jewel XI’s Aminul Islam bagged three wickets while Javed took two.
