Nusrat Imrose Tisha has been critically acclaimed several times for her noteworthy portrayal in out of the ordinary roles, and this time she portrayed the character of a slum thug in a new TV serial titled “Bijli.” Directed by Sumon Anwar, the thriller series will air today on RTV at 8:20pm.

Tisha is a favourite among most directors and many of them create characters keeping the actress in mind. The same is true for this serial written by Sumon Anwar who casts Tisha as the lead role in most of his productions.

“Sumon bhai’s productions are always very well scripted and multidimensional. Bijli is an absolute tough girl. The audience will find me confronting people, bashing them, swearing at them, firing guns and so much more. All of this is very exciting for me,” said Tisha who played the protagonist of all three Eid projects by Sumon Anwar – “Chhayabrikkher Rajkonya,” “Tar Mone Shongshoy” and “Tar Baba Godfather.”

The story of Bijli is about the daughter of a mafia boss, who creates terror in a slum adjacent to a railroad. She continues her reign of terror at the place for a long spell with her gang. Incidentally, Noinna, the leader of another gang, is her key rival. At one point, the tough Bijli falls in love with a very ordinary guy and a feud ensues with a gang member named Nantu concerning the affair. On the other hand, members from the Noinna gang kill one of their own in order to put the blame on Bijli. Consequently, Bijli, along with her gang, is compelled to leave the place. A long serial is made under this storyline.

The cast of the drama serial also includes Rawnak Hasan, Jyotika Jyoti, Arfan Nisho, Sabbir Ahmed, Sushoma Sarkar and many others.  The serial airs every Monday to Wednesday on RTV at 8:20pm.
