Shakib makes another record

World’s number one all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has attained another unique feat as a Bangladeshi cricketer.

Shakib is the first Bangladeshi to score 400 runs in any kind of tournament, including big tournament like World Cup.

With 41 runs in the previous game against Australia, the wonder boy of Bangladesh again emerged second on the list of the highest scorers.

Shakib has already scored 425 in the five innings of 2019 edition of the World Cup.

Earlier Shakib hit two back-to-back centuries against England and West Indies and two half-centuries against South Africa and New Zealand.

This World Cup means a lot to Shakib. Meanwhile, he has accomplished a number of milestones.

The boy with golden arm debuted in 2006 against Zimbabwe, and has attained a rare feat in cricket history. Shakib has emerged as fourth cricketer to score half centuries in back to back four innings. Earlier, India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu made the history in 1987. In 1996, another Indian cricket great Sachin Tendulkar joined Sidhu and South African cricketer Graeme Smith in 2007.

In this World Cup’s opener, Shakib made another world record picking up his 250th wicket in the match. With wicket of Aiden Markram of South Africa in the World Cup 2019’s opener, Shakib joined an exclusive club of world cricketers. Only four cricketers had touched the millstone besides making 5,000 ODI runs.
