BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has been remanded in police custody for questioning in a case over an arson attack.
Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court gave the order Monday.
The BNP joint secretary general, arrested at a Dhaka house on Jan 30, has since been questioned several times by police.
His lawyers alleged police did not allow him to take baths during his last remand but investigation officer Md Bashir Ahmed denied the allegation.
The assistant sub-inspector said Rizvi did not take baths.
Meanwhile, the court has sent BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Mosaddek Ali Falu to jail after a 13-day police remand.
Falu was arrested in front of Khaleda’s Gulshan office on Feb 1.
He was on five-day remand twice in two cases filed with Khilgaon and Badda police.
