In God — and guns — he trusts.

The president of Liberty University urged his student body to start carrying concealed weapons with their books in case Muslim terrorists target their Virginia campus.

“Let’s teach them a lesson if they ever show up here,” President Jerry Falwell Jr. declared at a Friday convocation before 10,000 people at the Christian college.

“I’ve always thought if more good people had concealed carry permits, then we could end those Muslims before they walked in,” said the son of his namesake father, the one-time religious right leader Jerry Sr.

Falwell was carrying a legal, licensed .25 caliber pistol in his back pants pocket as he spoke to loud cheers.

The school president started packing heat immediately after the California mass shooting that killed 14 people and wounded 21 more.

His invitation to bear arms on campus was also extended to staff and faculty. The school offers a free class for anyone interested in a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

Asked to clarify his remarks on Twitter, Falwell said the “those Muslims” comment referred specifically to the terrorists involved in the recent Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., attacks.

Ibrahim Hooper of the Council on Islamic-American Relations said Falwell’s remarks only amped up the increasingly inflammatory rhetoric toward Muslims.

“It’s part of an overall toxic anti-Muslim atmosphere that we’re seeing, particularly in the past few weeks with Paris and San Bernardino,” said Hooper.

“Anti-Muslim bigotry was still on the fringes after 9/11. But it’s moving toward the mainstream thanks to Donald Trump, Ben Carson and these type of comments.”

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe was also critical of Falwell’s statements, blasting his “reckless words” as “rash and repugnant.”
