The BNP has termed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s remark about caretaker government as a “bad signal for democracy”.

“People have given their verdict in four city corporation elections in favour of the BNP demand for a caretaker government to hold the next general elections,” BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said at a press briefing at BNP heaquarters at Naypaltan Monday afternoon.

On Sunday, the PM played down the need of a caretaker government for holding free and fair elections referring to Saturday’s election to four city corporations where BNP favourites won all mayoral polls.

“Don’t try to bring in an unconstitutional government. It would not be good for anyone … there might not even be any polls,” Hasina said.

Reacting to the PM’s remark, Fakhrul said: “It is a bad signal for democracy.”

The BNP-led 18-party alliance will hold rallies at the upazila headquarters and police stations in the country on June 22 demanding restoration of the caretaker government, Fakhrul told newsmen.

  1. ABOUT RECENT MAYORAL ELECTION RESULT: – 18 party Alliance Won all seats: Awami League & ITS COMMUNIST ALLIES – NONE
“Democracy has won”- Hasina: “Delusion has won” –Sengupta: “ THE RESULT IS THE EXPRESSION OF NO CONFIDENCE OF THE MASSES ON THIS CORRUPT, OPPRESSIVE GOVERNMENT THAT HAS LET LOOSE A REIGN OF TERROR ALL OVER THE COUNTRY TO EXTERMINATE ALL OPPOSITION”- Main opposition BNP & 18 party Alliance.
Hasina’s minister without any portfolio, Mr Sengupta’s contemptuous comment that “RELIGIOUS PARTIES-CREATED DELUSION HAS WON THE MAYORAL ELECTION “ is actually an insult to the politically well-educated electorates of the country who are not ignorant & fully matured voters needing no “ADVISERS” to tell them whom to cast their vote. We would ask Prime Minister Hasina to tell her “ADVISER ON CONSTITUTIONAL MATTER” to apologise for his audacious, abominable comment and sack him ignoring any India’s repercussion. (1)

AWAMI POST-MORTEM AFTER INEVITABLE SYLHET DEFEAT
It is obviously quite unnatural for the Sylhetis to support the Bengali Awami League that is extremely secular and vehemently anti-Islamic. Agnostic Bengali effort to de-Islamize Sylhet obliterating its authentic value, Islamic culture by imposing BONGOTTOVA (whatever that might means) has caused the irreparable damage to the Awamis. Sylheti Awamis failed to condemn the Bengali apostates who insulted Islam and everything dear to Muslims. Sylheti people will never forget that. Also both Muhit & Kamran were present when the Bengali Atheists claiming to be the members of Chatra League wanted to erect a statue of dead apostate SHUVO in the Shahid Minar that was snatched and burnt down by Sylhet angry Muslims. Later the Atheists said SYLHETIS SET FIRE ON NATIONAL FLAG AND SHAHID MINAR”. That was a lie but was not condemned by the SYLHEI AWAMI LEADESRSHIP (2)
