PM reaffirms Bangladesh’s support to Palestine

Visiting India foreign secretary S Jaishankar calls on prime minister Sheikh Hasina at Gananbhaban in the capital on Wednesday.

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday reaffirmed Bangladesh’s support to the people of the brotherly country of Palestine.
The prime minister extended the support when Palestine charge d’ affaires Yousef S Y Ramadan made a courtesy call on her at her official residence Ganabhaban.
PM’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters after the meeting.
At the meeting, he said, they discussed various issues relating to mutual interests.
While talking about the expansion of trade and business between the two countries, Ramadan requested the prime minister to allow duty-free access of Palestinian goods to Bangladesh.
They also discussed the publication of the Arabic edition of ‘Unfinished Memoirs’ of Bangabandhu in the Middle East, the press secretary said.
