PM reaches Jakarta amid rousing reception

The prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, arrived at the Indonesian capital of Jakarta amid a rousing reception on Tuesday afternoon on a three-day official visit to attend the Asian-African Summit 2015.
The VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her entourage, landed at the Soekarno Hatta International Airport around 3:35pm (local time).
Indonesian minister for environment and forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar welcomed the prime minister on her arrival at the airport. foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali, foreign secretary M Shahidul Haque, Bangladesh ambassador to Indonesia Md Nazmul Quaunine and Indonesian ambassador to Bangladesh Wiranata-atmadja were present on the occasion. A lady then presented flowers to the prime minister.
She was also given a static guard there.
Later, Hasina was taken to Hotel Borobudur Jakarta in a ceremonial motorcade where she will be staying during her tour.
The prime minister, accompanied by foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali, would lead the Bangladesh delegation to the summit.
The summit is being held in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Asian-African Conference.
The first Asian-African Conference was held in 1955 in the Indonesian city of Bandung amid the emerging cold war between two blocks—East and West. Later, the Bandung Spirit turned into new Asian-African Strategic Partnership in 2005.
Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to deliver her statement at the plenary session of the summit on Wednesday.
Besides, on the same day, the prime minister is likely to have meetings with Chinese president Xi Jinping, Singapore prime minister Lee Hsien Loong, Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe and Myanmar president Thein Sein at the bilateral meeting room of the JCC.
Later, she would attend gala dinner along with the other heads of government and heads of state at the Istana Negara Yard. The Indonesian president would host the dinner.
On the last day of her tour, Sheikh Hasina would  depart for the JCC on Thursday morning and co-chair the Plenary Session 4.
Then she is expected to have bilateral meetings with Palestine prime minister Rami Hamdallah, Indonesian president Joko Widodo and Nepalese prime minister Sushil Koirala.
The prime minister was scheduled to leave Jakarta for home on Thursday at 7:00 pm (local time) by a VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. She is expected to return home around 11:00 pm (BST).
