Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina invited political leaders to Iftar on Thursday at her official residence, Ganabhaban.
Leaders of the Awami League and its several wings, members of the Jatiya Party and leaders of various leftist groups responded to the PM’s invitation.
The Prime Minister greeted her guests with son Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed Joy and daughter-in-law Kristine Overmyer Wazed by her side.
She joined the Iftar at 6pm.
Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, Communist Party of Bangladesh President Mujahidul Islam Selim, Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon, General Secretary of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Sharif Nurul Ambia and Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua were present.
Ershad, Menon, Awami League’s Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Syed Ashraful Islam, Syed Sajeda Chowdhury, Misbahur Rahman Chowdhury and Nurul Ambia sat with the Prime Minister.
