PM donates Tk 6cr to DMCH’s Burn Institute

The prime minister handed over a cheque for the donated money to Project Director of the institute

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday donated Tk6 crore to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to procure hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for critically injured patients.

to Project Director of the institute at her official residence Ganobhaban
on Sunday evening, PM’s Press
Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhuri said.

The HBOT will extend most modern treatment facilities to the critically injured patients as the system involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized room or tube.
