The government on Sunday floated tender for the river training work of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project at a cost of Tk 7,000 crore.
“The tender was invited on the website of the Bangladesh Bridge Authority on Sunday while that will be published in national dailies tomorrow (Monday),” Communications Minister Obaidul Quader said on Sunday while talking to reporters after holding a meeting at the BRTC office in the city.
The six foreign companies that met the pre-requirement can collect the bid documents from September 22 while the last date for the bid submission is November 25, added the minister.
The six companies are from Japan, Belgium, the Netherlands, China, Denmark and Korea.
Earlier, the government had floated tender for building the main infrastructure of the much-hyped Padma Bridge the deadline of which is November 3 this year.
