Oh Shakib, not again!

He didn’t exactly mention whether he will be released in time for the start of the CPL from July 11

Shakib

Shakib al Hasan might find himself in trouble of breaching the code of conduct once again as the ace all-rounder this time flew to West Indies for playing in the Caribbean Premier League without the cricket board’s permission.

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s acting CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told Dhaka Tribune, “Shakib has been asked to join the camp immediately.” He, however didn’t exactly mention whether he will be released in time for the start of the CPL from July 11.

Shakib, part of the Tigers squad that began their training camp on July 1 for the tour of West Indies next month, left the country on the morning of July 2.  It was learnt, Shakib will return to Dhaka from London this weekend. The issue of Shakib’s No Objection Certificate (NOC) is expected to be discussed in the upcoming board meeting on July 7.

Shakib was expected to play the entire CPL that ends on August 16 and join the Bangladesh team who will begin their tour with the ODI series on August 20.
