Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said that party president Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wajed Joy would be the future leader of the party and he would join the central committee according to his wish.
At a briefing after the maiden meeting of the new secretaries of the ruling party at its president’s Dhanmondi office he said that in the latest council session in October 22-23, councillors wanted to see on the central committee.
‘We cannot put any pressure on him [Sajeeb] to join in the party’s leadership,’ Obaidul Quader added, replying to a query if Sajeeb would be inducted into the new central working committee.
