Norwegian, Korean envoys meet Khaleda

Norwegian and Korean ambassadors to Bangladesh separately met BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday night. 

Norwegian envoy Ragne Birte Lund came to the opposition leader’s Gulshan office at about 8:30pm and had an hour-long meeting with Khaleda.

 

During the meeting, they discussed various issues relating to mutual interest of the two nations.

 

Later, Korean envoy Lee Yun Young met BNP chairperson around 9:40pm at the same office.

 

The upcoming parliamentary elections and the current political situation of Bangladesh and various bilateral issues came up for discussions during the meeting, party sources said.

 

BNP vice-chairman Shamser Mubin Chowdhury and chairperson’s advisers Reaz Rahman and Sabihuddin Ahmed were present at the two meetings.
