Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Friday reiterated that there is no organisational existence of militant outfit Islamic State in the country.
But a national and international conspiracy is on to establish militancy here, he said.
The minister came up with his reaction at his Dhanmondi residence in the capital after the militant group’s online magazine Dabiq published an interview of Shaykh Abu Ibrahim al-Hanif – the reported ‘amir’ of IS fighters in Bangladesh.
The Islamic State intends to use its fighters in Bangladesh and Pakistan to mount ‘guerrilla attacks inside India’ and create fear and chaos by working with local mujahideen, al-Hanif said.
Asaduzzaman said no militant outfit would be allowed to establish hub here to carry out attacks in neighbouring countries.
