New hope for medicine raw materials: Bangladesh-China tie to strengthen mutual cooperation and joint investment

Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI) and Yunnan-Bengal Business Information Consultation Co jointly organized a seminar titled “Mutual cooperation in the development and expansion of China-Bangladesh API (Association of Pharmaceutical Industries)” in three crucial provinces of China between November 10 and 17.

General secretary of BAPI SM Shafiuzzaman led a team of delegates representing Bangladesh to the seminar, said a press release.

15 leading medicine manufacturers from Bangladesh, and 30 from China participated in the seminar.

Participating at the seminar, Managing Director of Bohai Technology Park Lu Sitong, and Commercial counselor of the Bangladeshi Embassy in China Mahfuzul Alam Khan, promised their cooperation in the progress of the industry.

Seminar participants shared their insights regarding the importance of the mutual cooperation between the pharmaceutical industries of Bangladesh and China, aimed at catalyzing the development of these industries.

According to industry insiders, business-to-business meetings, and visit to factories producing raw materials for medicine, will help pave the path for building a strong technological foundation for the industry.

Political leaders of Chinese government and high officials of API industries of the country also participated in the discussion.
