Police recover a sum of SR21, 388 from the Bangladeshi arrestees

A total of 11 Bangladesh nationals have been arrested by the Saudi police for gambling in Taif early Monday (local time).

Meanwhile, police recovered a sum of SR21, 388 from the Bangladeshi arrestees during the “drive against crime, reported Saudi-based daily newspaper Arab News.

A police state read: “The workers were caught red-handed while they were gambling in a building in Television Street in Taif.

The security patrol forces raided the site after receiving a tip off and arrested 11 persons involved in gambling with a net sum of SR21, 388,” Added the statement.

The police spokesperson for the Makkah region, Dr Athe Al-Quraishi, said: “After receiving a tip from a member of the public, Taif Police chief Maj Gen Abdullah Al-Suhaimi formed a team to arrest the offenders. The police also found four knives from the spot.”

The accused were referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution for further proceedings.
