Khaleda Zia hosts iftar in honour of politicians

Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday took iftar with politicians, particularly with the leaders of her political alliance that she leads.
She hosted the iftar party at Basundhara convention center in the capital, in honor of the politicians of the country.
No leader of the ruling Awami League was seen in the iftar, a sundown meal for the fasting Muslims, though Khaleda invited her arch political opponent, Awami League president and prime minister, Sheikh Hasina and other senior leaders of the party.
Alongside, general secretary of Krishak Sramik Janata League, Habibur Rahman Talukdar, joined in the evening meal.
Bidisha Siddique, former wife of Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad was also there.
Khaleda exchanged pleasantries with the guests.
Leaders of the alliance, including Oli Ahmed of LDP, Mojibur Rahman of Jamaat-e-Islami, Andaleev Rahman Partha of BJP, Syed M Ibrahim of Kalyan Party, TIM Fazle Rabbi of Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar), Shafiul Alam Prodhan of JAGPA, Garib-e- Newaz of the Peoples Party, Mustafizur Rahman Iran of Labour Party, Fariduzzaman Farhad of NPP, Khandaker Golam Murtuza of NDP, Muhammad Wakkas of Jamiyote Ulamaye Islam, Sayeed Ahmed of Samyabadi Dal and Saifuddin Moni of DL attended the party.
BNP leaders, including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mahbubur Rahman, Tariqul Islam, Nazrul Islam Khan and Goyeshwar Chandra Roy joined the iftar party, as well.
