Khaleda urges all to cooperate with Zia Foundation, Trusts

Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday urged all to extend cooperation to Ziaur Rahman Foundation and Trusts to help the poor and hapless in society.

She made the appeal very briefly addressing an iftar-party hosted by Ziaur Rahman Foundation at Ladies Club in the capital.
BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman, eldest son of Khaleda and the late president Ziaur Rahman, is the president of the foundation.
Khaleda said the foundation was successfully carrying out many welfare works and implementing programmes one after another for the poor.
She said the foundation provides medicare service to many BNP leaders and activists injured and maimed during the recent anti-government movements.
She called on all to cooperate with Ziaur Rahman Foundation and Trusts (Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust), which in the long run would benefit the country in general and the poor in particular.
Khaleda mentioned that Ziaur Rahman Foundation and Trusts help poor, hapless people and those facing various problems in society and hoped that the foundation would go ahead successfully.
She said BNP wants all people to remain in peace.
Ziaur Rahman Foundation executive director Farhad Halim Donar also spoke at the programme.
BNP leaders, people of different professions including physicians, engineers, academics, agriculturists, journalists and lawyers attended the programme.
Khaleda Zia is facing two graft cases involving Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust.
