After inviting the Awami League stalwarts, Khaleda Zia has extended an invite to Jatiya Party chief HM Ershad to attend her Iftar party.
Her party aides carried the invitation card to Ershad’s Baridhara residence on Tuesday.
The Opposition Leader’s Jul 13 get-together, in honour of the politicians, will be held at the ‘Parliament Members Club’s LD Bhaban premises.
Party’s Deputy Office Secretary Abdul Latif Jony, “We handed over the invitation card signed by the Opposition Leader to Mr Ershad at his President Park residence in Baridhara. He said he accepted the invitation.”
Jony also conveyed his party chief’s invitation to Jatiya Party Presidium Member Raushan Ershad and Kazi Zafar Ahmed on the same day.
He said a total of 23 Jatiya Party members had been invited.
On Monday, the BNP chief invited Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam and 11 Presidium members to the Iftar gathering.
The Ramadan is expected to begin from Thursday.
