Khaleda, 21 top leaders sued in Natore

Court asks BNP leaders to come with statements by January 28

A case has been filed in Natore against 22 top BNP leaders including party Chairperson Khaleda Zia challenging the party’s decision to expel four of its local leaders.

On October 24, BNP expelled its four leaders for allegedly violating the party’s organogram.

The expelled leaders filed the case on Sunday with the First Joint District Judge’s Court in Natore.

The other accused included BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Natore BNP President Ruhul Quddus Talukdar Dulu and district BNP Secretary Aminul Haque.

After holding hearing on the case on Sunday, Judge Nasirul Haque asked all the 22 BNP leaders to submit their statements before it by January 28.

The expelled leaders are: Shahidul Islam Bachu and Abdul Mannaf, two co-chairmen of Natore district BNP unit; Mostafa Nayan, a member of the unit; and Mizanul Haque Duke, co-organising secretary of the unit.
