HSC, equivalent exams begin April 01, 2015

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations of 2015 begin across the country from April 01, 2015.

This year a total of 1,073,884 students under 10 educational boards, including one madrasa and one technical board, will sit appear from 8,305 institutions.

Of them, 570,993 are boys. The examinations will be held at 2,419 centres across the country.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid briefed media about the examinations yesterday.

This year the number of examinees decreased by 67,490 from 1,141,374 last year. A total of 241 students will sit for the examinations from seven overseas centres.

The written tests end on June 11 and practical examinations begin on June 13 and end on June 22.

The minister said the HSC and equivalent examinations will begin as per the schedule despite hartal.

Nahid said the law enforcement agencies will keep an eye on the staff, employees of Bangladesh Government (BG) Press and their families and relatives to check any possible question paper leak. The law enforcers will also keep eyes social networking media facebook and coaching centres in this regard.
