Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Tuesday said it has identified one woman and three men who might have been involved in the Holey Artisan Bakery attack on 1 July.
The RAB identified the four people after scrutinising a CCTV video footage.
The video footage shows that the four people were talking to each other in a group and walking on a road in front of the Holey Artisan restaurant on the night.
RAB director (legal and media wing) Mohammad Mufti Mahmood told Prothom Alo that the suspects were identified through scrutinising CCTV video footage.
He sought cooperation from all to help arrest the suspects.
The elite force has uploaded the CCTV footage on its Facebook page, requesting people to cooperate with the authorities to arrest them.
Police also suspected that a silver-coloured microbus might have been used by the attackers during the attack.
On 1 July, a group of militants took nearly 40 people hostages. Of them 20 hostages were killed by the hostage-takers.

I stay just near to the Holey Artisan Bakery . I was present almost all through during the night in the area to help families of hostage . I clearly heard seven rounds of bullet shots right when the fazr azzan was going on the night the attack was made . Can any one or the forces present there would kindly clarify what this shots were . To my understanding being an ex armed forces officer , these shots were made to kill some hostages who were still alive . Number two – understand there was an Indian hostage who was released in the morning , how and why the attackers released him . Understand they were looking for foreigners to kill . Surprisingly he was released by the police immediately the day after without detaining him any further . Number three – attackers released a couple of Srilankan origin – again a mystery . I think truth is yet to come out until probbed properly .
