Guardians of students at Wills Little Flower School at Kakrail in Dhaka blocked the road in front of the school protesting against the increase of fees by the school authorities.
The guardians went out on demonstration there at around 10:00am and at one stage blocked the road triggering severe traffic gridlock in the busy commercial area.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ramna zone assistant commissioner Shibli Noman told newsmen police rushed there and convinced the protesters to free the road. Now the road is free for traffic, he said.
He also said a delegation of guardians was also sent to the school authorities for negotiations.
