Ganajagaran supporters bring anti-hartal procession in city

Ganajagaran Mancha supporters brought out a procession in the capital on Monday noon protesting the daylong nationwide hartal enforced by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami,

Jamaat called the shutdown protesting the punishment of its three leaders by the International Crimes Tribunal-2 (ICT-2) for contempt of court.

Shahbagh protestors, led by its spokesman Imran H Sarkar, brought out the procession from Shahbagh Chhattar around 12 pm.

Ganajagaran spokesman Imran H Sarkar said Jamaat-Shibir want to unleash   violence across the country, their activities can be stopped through banning the political party.

He also said that they have brought out the procession as per their previous announcement to resist all hartals of Jamaat.

The Ganajagaran youths started a movement from Shahbagh on February 5, 2013 to press for capital punishment of Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah and others charged with crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
