Five including a female ABT member arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested five alleged members of the militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla team (ABT), including a female member, from Ashulia and Dhamrai in Dhaka on Saturday, reports UNB.
Acting on a tip off, a special squad of the RAB-4 conducted simultaneous drives between 2:00 am to 4:30 am at Ashulia and Dhamrai and arrested the five suspected militants.

They are identified as Oliul Islam alias Abdullah (23), Md. Moazzam Mia alias Shihad alias Allaar Ghulam (20), Md. Sabuj Hossain alias Abdullah Abaz Uddin, 26, Ariful Hoque alias Arif alias Ridoy, 25, and Rashida alias Humaira (33).

Briefing reporters at the RAB’s Karwan Bazar media centre, commanding officer of the RAB-4 additional DIG Md Muzammel Hossain said during preliminary interrogation, the five arrested militants revealed that they have been spreading militancy through online training.

The RAB official also said, the detainees admitted that they are active member of the banned outfit ABT.

They also revealed that they had made a sudden attack on the people to give punishment or target killings, who supposed to be creating obstacle to establish khelafat, he added.
