Faizullah didn’t die in crossfire, rather shot dead by police: Khaleda

Khaleda ZiaBangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia said on Thursday Golam Faizullah, suspected militant involved in the attack on Madaripur Hindu teacher, didn’t “die in crossfire; was rather shot dead.”

“It is a stage-managed incident. He [Faizullah] didn’t die in crossfire. He was rather killed. Killing by police means that there is the involvement of Hasina as she is the home minister [Fact is: Asadauzzaman Khan Kamal is the home minister],” said the BNP chairperson while addressing an iftar programme in the capital.

Bangladesh Labour Party, a component of the BNP-led 20-party alliance, organised the iftar programme in honour of politicians at the Emmanuelle’s Banquet Hall in Gulshan.

Also former prime minister, Khaleda also demanded trial of the killing. “So, the trial of the killing of this innocent must be held.”

Khaleda Zia also alleged that police and the activists of ruling Awami League and its student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League are involved in the crimes taking place across the country.

She iterated her allegations that her party leaders and workers are being harassed in the name of special drive and they are not getting justice.
The BNP chief claimed that the BNP has been in a movement to restore democracy, not to get prime-ministership and ministership.
