Former IGP Hasan Mahmud has been made Spain ambassador.
Former inspector general of police Hasan Mahmud Khandaker has been made the Bangladesh ambassador to Spain.
A gazette notification in this regard was issued by the public administration ministry yesterday.
The notification says the former police official, who is now on Post Retire Leave (PRL), has been appointed as an ambassador for next three years.
Meanwhile, in another gazette notification, the ministry also appointed former additional secretary Khondokar Akhtaruzzaman, who is also on PRL, as the chairman of the National Housing Authority for one year.
